Description
After a successful AGM last month with changes to the committee, the Eden VIEW Club (Voice Interests Education of Women) celebrated a wonderful start to Seniors Week with a luncheon at the Eden Fishermans and Recreation Club. Nineteen members and friends attended, sharing friendships and recent information on what it is to be active and motivvated through the ageing process.
VIEW Club women stay connected with over 400 metropolitan regional and rural communities across Australia, sharing their goal of enjoying activities, functions and special events whilst raising funds to support the Learning for Life Program.
VIEW clubs are a valued part of the Smith Family, www.thesmithfamily.com.au/view , being one of Australia's most established and respected not-for-profit organisations.
VIEW Eden Women believe in the power of education in helping to change lives and they want to contribute in any way they can. President Beryl Kelly said "It is wonderful to know that the money raised by all the Eden members is providing support and funding to disadvantaged children and their families, giving them hope and opportunities for a successful future." She also stated that VIEW is a wonderful interest for young women who may like to contribute some of their time to assist disadvantaged children with their education.
Anyone interested in joining a network of women passionate about actively contributing to this wonderful Eden community whilst recognising the importance of having fun at the same time may come along to the monthly coffee morning on 8 April 2010 at Wharfside Cafe Snug Cove at 11am.
