Thursday Men’s Social
Winners were Steve Nixon and Ken Stucky but the big day was the Friday.
A fun day had by all.
Friday the 25th at the Eden bowls club was alive and kicking while welcoming the visitors from Albury and the Riverina districts. 40 players in all came and with the extra of 20 from Eden the green was full. Fun was the order of the day but winners are grinners even in a social atmosphere as this was.
Traveling bowlers choose Eden as there once a year visit.
Eden Bowling club is asked many times a year to except visiting bowlers and we do it with open arms. There will be three more bus loads of bowlers coming to Eden Country club in October alone and only one the which will not be staying in Eden itself, although they will be playing at Eden bowls club, the 28 visitors will come to Eden on Wednesdays the 14th October for a game of bowls and then back to Eden Thursday the 15th as they have a pleasure cruise booked out of Twofold Bay. The other two, one with 44 bowlers and the other with 46 bowlers, are staying in Eden for the week and moving around to other greens in the district from this location, and that can’t be bad thing for the town.
