Membership

We offer memberships at an annual rate of $10 per person to residents in our community. This provides access to our computers, internet, and Wi-Fi. (Note: normal fees may apply to other services)

Computer Classes

Every month, regular classes are held in the Access Centre. From basic training to social media skills, many of our participants have benefited from the classes to help stay connected with family and friends.

Workshops

Members and local residents are welcome to join our seasonal creative workshops (writing, crafting etc.), where we dive into the world of creativity and enjoy a good time with each other’s company.

Services We Offer

As a not-for-profit community-based organisation, the Access Centre operates on a minimum fee for service basis for our membership and admin services.

Internet Access​

We have fast secure internet access through NBN. Not a member? That’s ok. For a small fee, you can use our Windows 10 computers.

Centrelink/Medicare​

Providing agency services for Services Australia (Centrelink and Medicare), no need to travel to Bega, the Access Centre has access to Centrelink Computers, fax, and phones. We can also assist with creating a MyGov account.​

Newsletter​

We produce and publish a monthly newsletter, the Eden Connection, keeping our community in touch with local news and events.

Administrative Services

Our admin services include photocopying, emailing, faxing, scanning, typing, printing, laminating, and binding. We can also copy your videos and CDs.​

ATO

From July to the end of October we deliver the Volunteer Tax Help Program (eligibility applies). Please contact us to know more about eligibility.​

Eden Tech Centre

A service of the Access Centre we are now offering computer service and repairs at affordable prices. Our experienced and qualified technician can assist you with a range of computer repairs and service, provide advice on system security and much more. Can’t get into our office, give us a call and we will arrange a home visit.

Room Hire/Hot Desking​

We provide room hire and hot desk facilities to a number of visiting agencies and community service providers.​

Technology Training and Support

We deliver a range of computer courses for beginners to the more advanced. We are a network partner with The Good Things Foundation and deliver the ‘Be Connected’ program to seniors who want to improve their digital skills.​

Special Projects​

We apply for grants and tender opportunities to enhance the services we can provide to the local community. We also auspice projects for local community organisations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a member to use these services or join the events?​

The answer is no. Everyone is welcome at the Eden Community Access Centre for any of our services or events. However, some services or events might be subject to a small fee in order to maintain our operation. Thank you for your understanding and please contact us if you have questions about our charges.

How do I use IT facilities if I am not very familiar with them?​

No need to worry! Our friendly staff and volunteers are here to help you. Feel free to reach out if you need assistance with any devices or electronics.

How do I join the classes or workshops?​

We usually announce the details upfront through multiple channels. You can follow us on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter for latest updates, join our email listing to receive notifications, or visit our website's event calendar. Alternatively, walk-in enquiries during work hours can always do the trick for you.

Can you help me with other Governement-related services?

Although we might not be able to cover all government services, we are happy to assist you with what we can. Please talk to our friendly staff and volunteers to find out more details.
