Saturday evening of the 26 June 2010 was a beautiful clear night when the partial eclipse of the moon began at 7.30pm.

This image was captured at the halfway point as the shadow of the earth began moving away.

Australia will next see an eclipse of the moon in June 2011 and this will be a total lunar eclipse.
