Light to Light Walk

This 31km track which runs from it's northern end at Boyd's Tower to Green Cape Lighthouse features a dramatic variety of landscapes and habitats from it's dramatic coastal landscape, red rocky outcrops, headlands and sheltered coves to heathlands which give way to tall open forests.

You can easily take shorter return  strolls from any of the four access points along the track at Green Cape, Bittangabee Bay, Saltwater Creek and Boyds Tower.

As this walk covers some rather remote country you should plan accordingly especially if you intend to walk the complete 31km track.

  1. Let someone know your itinerary so authorities can be alerted if you are overdue
  2. Be sure to carry enough water and food and a first aid kit
  3. Wear appropriate footwear and weatherproof clothing

Overnight accomodation is available in the former lightkeeper's cottages at Green Cape.  Contact the NPWs Merimbula office for bookings and information on accomodation and camping information. see NPWS web page Guided tours of the lighthouse are also available see NPWS web page.

Bookings for tours and accomodation are essential especially in holiday time.
