Parks, Playgrounds & Picnic Spots

Listed below are some of the parks, children's playgrounds and picnic spots in or near Eden.
 
Further afield, there are many picnic areas within the nearby national parks and state forests; some with gas/electric barbecues, but most where you will need to find your own wood before you can boil your billy. Please be aware of any fire restrictions that may be in force and check with the local state forests office that wood can be used. Rubbish should be disposed of properly and areas left clean and tidy for next people.

Museum Street off Albert Terrace

Lookout Point and Rotary Park

Bramble Street at eastern end of Imlay St, up the hill from the wharf. Lookout point offers a panoramic view over beautiful Twofold Bay to Mt Imlay.

Facilities: picnic tables, covered area, gas/electric BBQ, toilets, showers, childrens playground, lookout, Seamen's Memorial Wall, cliffside walks in Eagles Claw Reserve.
 

Nullica River Mouth

South of Eden, left from Princes Highway

Facilities: Picnic table overlooking the lagoon with beach walks nearby. There's an informal fireplace (bring your own wood).
 

Quarantine Bay
South of Eden, left from Princes Highway

Facilities:  picnic tables, toilets, showers with wharf, boat ramp and small beaches nearby.
 

RSL Park

Calle Calle Street, Eden - overlooking the ocean.

A great spot to view passing whales is the lookout located near RSL Park, at the corner of Bass Street and Hosies Road.
Facilities: War Memorial, picnic tables, toilets and childrens playground.
 

Wellings Park

Stanley Street and Mitchell Street

Facilities: Timber Workers Memorial, Playground
 

Picnic spots dotted throughout Eden;

Aslings Beach, Freshwater Creek, Chandos St, Visitors Information Centre and Library in Mitchell St, Wellings Park, on the hill near the reservoirs and information bay on Prince's Highway heading south. Most are near toilets.
