Visiting Eden
![]() |
Visitors are mostly attracted to Eden by the unspoilt beauty of its many beaches, rivers and lakes, surrounding forests and nearby mountains. It is a mecca for salt water fishing with many estuaries, rock shelves, beaches to the north and to the south, as well as boat ramps - the largest of which offers deep-water access for bay and ocean fishing.
A major attraction is water sports, including surfing, yachting, diving and swimming. Of course, Twofold Bay is famous for whale watching, which is a major attraction from September until December, when a variety of whales frolic in our beautiful bay.
We are surrounded by National Parks and State Forests and a huge variety of native flora, fauna and birds can be seen when you stroll around town, as well as bushwalk and trek further afield. You can also enjoy the sights by bicycle, -perhaps have your trek recorded.
There are many pretty picnicking spots as well as scenic drives and, for the more adventurous, several off-road trails for 4WD vehicles. There are also some areas open to trail-biking in the State Forests.
The local historic sites, activities and events offer hours of entertainment, education and leisure. You may find the history of this area fascinating.
Places to stay, the restaurants, cafes, clubs, bars and hotels, with the friendly locals, welcome visitors both to Eden and the surrounding villages.
