“The Postmaster General is now calling for tenders for the erection of a telephone from Towamba to Yambulla, via Pericoe. The distance is estimated at 14 miles. The wire is to be run on trees where they are available. This line will be a boon to the district, as all correspondence and traffic between Wangrabelle and Eden pass through Yambulla.”
