The “Eden Magnet” says: “The Twofold Bay Motor Transport Co. has received a telegraphic request from the Commonwealth Government to send the lorries to Queanbeyan on the occasion of the official opening of the Federal Capital, which will take place on March 12th. The manager informs us that he will take lorries up and arrange special cheap trips for coastal residents to be present at this historic event.” We would advise visitors to bring a supply of tents to accommodate themselves, also provisions, as all the hotels and boarding house accommodation is already taxed.
